Auto-Card Updater (ACU) is a valuable service that helps merchants keep credit card information up-to-date. It's particularly useful for recurring payments or subscription-based businesses.

How ACU works:

  1. Weekly Updates:  Active cards-on-file stored in your patient's Billing Vault will be checked for updates. This includes:
    1. Expiration Date: If the card is nearing its expiration, the ACU service will attempt to update it.
    2. Card Number: In the event of a lost or stolen card, the ACU service can retrieve the new card number.
  2. Automatic Updates: When the ACU service identifies changes, it automatically updates the payment system. This ensures that future recurring payments are processed smoothly without the need for manual intervention.

  • Once you pay the activation fee, the Auto-Card Updater will be activated within 1-2 business days. 
  • Initial Activation:
    • When the Auto-Card Updater service is activated, please allow 10-14 days for all active cards to be checked for updates.
    • A report of updated cards can be found HERE
      • Also, the system automatically generates and emails the expired credit card report to the administrative email address on file on the 5th and 20th of each month.
  • Active cards-on-file stored in your patient's Billing Vault will be checked for weekly updates.

The Auto-Card Updater is $10 per month, which includes the first 10 cards updated per month. Additional card updates are $0.35 each. There are no refunds.
