Why you may NOT want to use a receipt printer:

  • We recommend that you keep the patient's signature on file, then you don't have to worry about printing anything.
  • To keep the signature on file, when logged into the account hover over [Systems] →click on the [Auto-Debit System®] menu → [Resources] → [Forms] → download & print the EZ Pay Signature-On-File Authorization Form.
  • This form gives your office permission to charge the patient account for one-time transactions without needing a signed receipt.
  • Script to your patients: "In order to better serve our practice members, we prefer to keep your signature on file & email receipts to you. Should you ever need a printed receipt, please let us know."
  • To make sure the auto-email of receipts is on go to the Auto-Debit System® Setup → Step 2. On that screen select One-Time Payment receipts to be sent & SAVE. The system will automatically email the receipt if the patient has an email address on file.
  • There are USB receipt printers you can buy online...but if you put into practice keeping signatures on file, you won't need to print receipts.
  • Cash Practice® does NOT provide support for the devices themselves. If you find a device is not working, you will need to contact the manufacturer.
 
The Simple Swiper & Virtual Terminal will produce a sales draft (receipt) to be signed. You can use either your standard computer printer (i.e. laser, inkjet, etc.) or a USB receipt printer. Please note that a USB Receipt Printer is NOT the printer that is attached to your old credit card machine.
 
Another option we recommend is our Lane/5000 EMV terminal. This will allow you to process & sign on the terminal & then provide you with the option to print a receipt. You can use either your standard computer printer (i.e. laser, inkjet, etc.) or a USB receipt printer.
 
Cash Practice® does not sell receipt printers, however, here are a couple of links to companies who do sell them. Please note that we cannot provide support for the printers. You would have to contact the manufacturer or seller.
