As of July 1, 2010, the enforcement of PCI DSS began for all businesses that accept credit cards. This includes all of the Cash Practice® members. This requirement is NOT unique to being a Cash Practice® Member. It applies to any business that accepts credit cards. We have partnered with a company, Aperia, to assist you with the PCI registration and certification process.
When you complete PCI through Aperia, using your primary MOTO Merchant Account number, there will be an [Associated Merchant] question at the beginning of the SAQ Questionnaire, which will ask you to select yes or no (for applying the certification to all of your merchant accounts). You want to select [YES] so that your certification applies to both your MOTO & RETAIL merchant accounts.
As long as you select [YES] under this section, you will only need to complete PCI under your primary merchant account and your 2nd merchant account will automatically be compliant as well.
Aperia will also automatically submit your passing PCI certificate to our processing bank on your behalf.
Paya is required to report any non-compliant merchants to Visa & MasterCard on a quarterly basis. Cash Practice® & Paya have partnered with Aperia to provide a bundled rate for this program since you utilize 2 credit card merchant accounts through Cash Practice® (MOTO & RETAIL). This fee is very competitive compared to what other vendors are billing for this service. Our competitive analysis revealed annual rates from $179.00 to $250.00 per merchant account. Aperia's bundled rate is $95/year, which includes BOTH of your merchant accounts.
