Windows XP is no longer receiving updates or security patches from Microsoft.

Microsoft extended support for Windows XP ended on April 8, 2014. After this date, Microsoft will not release any security patches or updates for Windows XP. This will effectively make Windows XP non-compliant with HIPAA/HITECH after Microsoft support ends. 

In order for Cash Practice and the swiper to operate correctly, you must be using the most up to date version of your operating system. This means that it is getting regular system updates.
