Example 1: using a max (capped) fee per visit for routine office visits:

  • In the example below, the doctor's CHUSA discounted rate is a 30% discount or a max (capped) fee of $60 for all routine visits.
  • This doctor is recommending that her patient receives Adjustments and Therapies on a routine basis. The total before the CHUSA discount is $95.93 per visit.
  • A CHUSA patient would get a discount of 30% or a cap of $60 per visit for all Routine Services.

Example 2: ChiroHealthUSA® Plan payment options:

In the Care Plan tab, we have selected our [Discount Rules].

Any services that are not considered to be a Routine Service will have a [Discount Rule] of the following categories:

  • NR: Non-Routine Services (Re-Exam, X-Ray, etc)
  • C: Custom Product Discount (Orthotics, Equipment, etc.)
  • P: Product Discount (Supplements, Pillows, etc.)
  • NC: No Charge (A service or product that is never charged to ANY patients, such as Workshops, Classes, etc.)
  • FP: Full Price (A service or product that you don't want to discount or CAN'T discount, such as deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, or anything covered by insurance.)

In the Calculator Tab, select the drop-down menu for [Service & Product Settings]. Slide to only show the cost of care if the patient does not use ChiroHealthUSA® slide ON to display the [Prompt Pay Discount] and also slide ON to show what the cost of care will be if the patient is using ChiroHealthUSA® Plan.

Now, you may be asking yourself..."Am I allowed to offer a discount on top of my CHUSA fee schedule?"

Answer: Yes! The prompt pay fee is applied to the CHUSA fees are considered a bookkeeping discount because you're automating the way the payments are being collected, instead of having the patient pay per visit. Now, keep in mind that this bookkeeping discount should not be more than 15% in order to remain within the confines of the law. Source.

Note: You can not display the ChiroHealthUSA® and the ChiroHealthUSA® Plan columns at the same time. Display the columns that work best for the way that you run your practice.
