If you’re giving patients discount services or prompt pay discounts related to financial plans from the Care Plan Calculator®, we recommend that you use the ChiroTouch® Care Package feature within the patient ledger that will allow you to post all of the services being rendered to the patient at your full fee (which is the compliant way to post services).
The visit-based Care Package would automatically apply the discount and display the balance that the patient owes after the discounts are applied. The ledger is automatically adjusted based on the discount and the number of visits that you defined in the Care Package.
You will need to create a few visit-based Care Package templates in the Maintenance Screen, which you can then quickly customize per patient within their ledger. The few minutes you spend on creating this will help reduce any future time spent balancing patient ledgers.
